Lewis Carroll in 1865 published his famous children’s story Alice in Wonderland. 

In 1951, Walt Disney used the story as the basis for a feature film.  Since 1865, several books, movies, and study guides have been produced to discover its underlying meaning. 

At first glance, it appears Mr. Carroll wrote the story in a drug induced state.  Since the drug culture was not as prominent back then as it is today, it is safe to assume, he was inspired by other influences.  Regardless, its surreal quality has raised a few eyebrows through the years.  His goal, however, was to demonstrate the importance of words as they pertain to our sense of identity and value.
 
Alice enters a world, which initially baffles her and reduces her to a state of tears.  Bizarre logic runs rampant in Wonderland.  Every creature she meets justifies the most absurd behavior.  Their arguments are complex, which creates great confusion for Alice. Though their strange reasoning initially perplexes, she eventually learns to discern their illogic and the utter nonsense it promotes.
 
Mr. Carroll, I suspect, wrote his story not only to entertain adults and children, but perhaps as a rebuke to expose what he perceived to be Victorian England’s hypocrisies.  Though never intended for America in 2009, its topsey turvey world coincides perfectly with our present condition. 

For years, we have proclaimed Isaiah 5:20, 21, as America was sliding into perdition.  God’s Word states, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!  Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!”  If the word of God happened to make its way into Mr. Carroll’s story, no better passage would aptly describe the world Alice found by following a rabbit into a hole. 
 

Tragically, Alice in American Wonderland has fallen into a hole as well, a very deep one.  She did not follow a rabbit, however, but a series of lies, deceptions, and falsehoods for several decades.  Alice in America did not meet up with Caterpillar, Duchess, Cheshire Cat, March Hare, Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, Mock Turtle, Gryphon and a host of other minor characters. No, she met a horde of left wing God-haters, judicial activists, liberal policy groups, child-killers, perversion peddlers, communists, socialists, and corrupt politicians. 

As Alice believed their propaganda (taught in the public schools) and drank from the media laced Kool-Aid, Alice the individual shrank with her right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, while the gang of political thugs increased in size, scope, and power.
 
As American Wonderland spread, the promotion of criminals into positions of authority became the norm, while those who played by the rules became suspect.  Lawbreakers secured rewards, while the law keepers suffered the punishment and paid for their “legal” extortions.  In the name of the courts, the law was denied.  In the name of freedom, tyranny multiplied.  In the name of choice, abortion killed.  In the name of fairness, injustice reigned.  In the name of “gay” marriage, the covenant defiled.  In the name of education, faith and morality expunged.  In the name of hate crimes, hatred flourished.  In the name of tolerance, intolerance spread.  In the name of America, our nation undermined.  
 
The list of these present day absurd tragedies could go on and on, but I think you get the point.  This is not a mere fairy tale gone awry, however.  No, a great nation stands in serious jeopardy.  Either our national leaders are ignorant, living in a major state of denial, or they are with extreme prejudice purposely steering the great ship of state, America, right into the proverbial iceberg.  They seem hell bent on sinking us into a third world status or worse.

President Obama has filled his cabinet with some of the most criminal, corrupt, unqualified, individuals you could possibly drudge up to “lead” our nation.  He has packed the Faith Based Initiative’s office with pro-abort, sodomites. He tapped the most ethically challenged, polarized figure in politics today, Hillary Clinton, as Secretary of State. He nominated a tax cheat, Timothy Geithner as Treasury Secretary.  He selected Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano, who has a terrible record on illegal immigration, to serve as his Homeland Security Secretary. Miss Napolitano is the Janet Reno of the Obama Administration. 

 He appointed as Attorney General, Eric Holder, who has a soft spot for terrorists and a penchant for undermining the law for political gain.  He nominated the governor from Kansas, Kathleen Sebelius, as Health Secretary.  This woman was bought and paid for by the most infamous abortionist in America today, George Tiller.  To cover, protect, and insulate him from prosecution for his many crimes, she corrupted the entire government of Kansas.  The Senate just confirmed her nomination, just in time for the outbreak of swine flu.  If she covers the swine flu like she did Tiller, perhaps Americans will survive the epidemic.  More names, crimes, and corruption in his cabinet could be added to this infamous list, but I hope these are sufficient to expose the band of misfits in Obama’s administration.

 Recently, Obama returned from his “apology tour” on the behalf of our “national interests.”  While making nice with America’s enemies abroad, he is working feverishly to dismantle our protection at home.  He desires granting Constitutional rights to foreign terrorists, while the Constitutional rights of ordinary American citizens hang by a thread.  While he is busy making sure fanatics, strapped with bombs and intent on blowing us up have their Miranda rights read to them, he forbids proven interrogation techniques, which foiled previous terroristic plots against our cities.    

 He has promised to close down Guantanamo Bay to improve our “image” in the world.  Thus, leaving America speculating as to what will be the cost in dollars and security.  Obama is so intent on distancing himself from the Bush administration, who at least, kept America safe for the last 7 years; he is willing to undo every protective measure making America vulnerable to another Islamic attack.

 To add insult to injury, the recent Home Land Security report hit the fan.  Miss Napolitano’s main concern and perceived greatest threat to America was not Islamic terrorists, but returning American vets, patriots who oppose illegal immigration, pro-lifers, Constitutionalists, Second Amendment enthusiasts, and other “radical” Americans.  According to their standards and logic, our Founding Fathers would pose the greatest threat to America today.

Surely, it is time for Alice in American Wonderland to grow up and awaken from the twisted dream.  It has turned into a nightmare.  These are the gangsters in power.  These are the inmates running the asylum.  These are the lawbreakers making the rules. These are the criminals, which wield the sword of civil government.  These are the “leaders” making bizarre decisions, which adversely affect you and your future.  These are the perverts, which make a mockery of all that is holy, righteous, and decent in America.  These are the thieves manipulating the economy.  These are the traitors, making America vulnerable to her enemies.  These are the brokers, selling out America to the highest bidders and international “banksters.”  These are the wicked intent on punishing the righteous.

How long will this insanity last?  Nobody knows, but if America survives their onslaught, there will be no greater tribute to our Founding Fathers.  Even as I write, yet another Hate Crimes bill is on the fast track towards becoming the law of the land.  Sexual deviants will become the new federally protected class.  The sexual perversion is not just limited to homosexuals, however.  No, there are 30 other sexual practices that are too gross to mention, which will also be protected. This is due to the refusal of our legislators to clarify the term “sexual orientation.”  Specifically, they refused an amendment to remove pedophiles from the federally protected class.

Once again, our government insists on framing mischief into law.  God’s word warns, “Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law? They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.  But the Lord is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge.  And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off (Psalm 94:20-23).” As the “throne of iniquity” defends the indefensible, the freedom of speech and freedom of religion of Bible-believing Christians are chilled. 

As with everything else associated with Alice in American Wonderland, the Hate Crimes bill itself, promotes institutional hatred.  It promotes hatred towards God, His Word, His people, family, and freedom.  When passed, those who consider homosexuality a sin and crime will be guilty as heaven and our government will be innocent as hell!
