A Measure of Wheat for a Day’s Wages

We were just settling in for bed when I read the last news scroll on Fox News—and it gave me chills.

The UK will now be charging by weight for food items such as eggs and bread rolls, rather than by the number of items in a package. Does this remind you of a certain Scripture?

Rev 6:6-"And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine."

When a laborer went into the field to labor, during the time of Jesus’ walk on the earth, the standard wage for a day’s labor was a penny a day. Of course this is not a “penny” of our day, but a coin of that day. The value of it must be measured it what it represented – Payment for a day’s labor. The rich ate wheat bread. The poor ate barley bread. A “measure” was approximately what a man with large hands could hold in his two hands cupped together. A measure would make a small loaf of bread.

This verse obviously represents sky-high inflation, but see that it shows a measurement of wheat for which one is to be charged!!

Look up, look up- our redemption draweth nigh!

The Communist Manifesto

isthis-tomorrow10 Planks of the Communist Manifesto:

1.Abolition of (private) property and land and application of all rents of land to public purposes

2.A heavy progressive or graduated income tax

3.Abolition of all rights of inheritance

4.Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels

5.Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank

6.Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State

7.Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State

8.Equal liability of all to labour

9.Gradual abolition of of the distinction between town and country by a more equal distribution of population over the country

10.Free education for all children in public schools (where they can further indoctrinate them away from God and into the Communist way of thinking)

According to the Communist Manifesto, all of these were prior conditions for a transformation from capitalism to communism.

Are you getting chills yet?

Russian Prime Minister Putin has been quoted as warning the US to avoid “excessive intervention in economic activity and blind faith in the State’s omnipotence.” Advising that we take a lesson from Russian history, he went on to say, “In the 20th century, the Soviet Union made the State’s role absolute. In the long run, this made the Soviet economy totally uncompetitive. This lesson cost us dearly. I am sure nobody wants to see this repeated.”

From someone who has been there and has walked down the ugly, dark corridor that is Communism, Putin exhorts America to avoid it!

One need only read through the planks list once to see how we have implemented these in our society, many of them having materialized since the new administration took office.

The words “socialism” and “communism” should not be taken commercially or lightly. Wake up, America! We aren’t using these phrases to try to get under the nails of those who think differently, but because we have a very small window of time to speak out in warning before we are jailed for being “rebels.”

The Republican party needs to STOP playing kindergarten and bickering with one another, pick a clear and bold leader, and demand this country back to the principles that formed and made this country great, or we risk irreversible consequences that ensure the dissolving of  this once great nation and a fade out into the “empires of old” oblivion.

Let us not just become a page in a history book! Resist Communism!
